What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a complementary, holistic therapy which works on the premise that the feet, hands, ears and face have reflex points which correspond with different parts of the body, including glands and organs. The reflexes are then 'worked' by stimulating and soothing them which works with the body to restore balance and encourage healing. Although many people turn to reflexology as an alternative or complementary therapy, you do not need to be suffering from an ailment to benefit; regular treatments are ideal as a preventative measure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare for my first treatment?

Once you have booked your treatment I will be in touch with a questionnaire for completion prior to you attending your appointment. This gives us both chance to ask any questions before you switch off and relax.

On the day of your appointment if you are having foot reflexology, it is advisable to clean your feet and bring a pair of clean socks to put on after your treatment.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there may be a requirement for you to wear a face covering during your treatment. For any concerns about Covid regulations, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

What should I expect from my first session?

Following your treatment you may feel tired and usually very relaxed. It is advisable to drink plenty of water.

I would also advise to avoid alcohol on the day/evening of your treatment. This is because many clients report being more receptive to it's effects.

Many people report they have a very restful sleep following a treatment.

Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?

I have trained in palliative and end of life care. As reflexology is a gentle and healing therapy it can be beneficial for many conditions. If you have any questions about whether reflexology would be right for you, please get in touch, I would be happy to discuss further.

Do you offer any discount if I book a course of treatments?

Yes, if you book in for 6 weekly sessions of reflexology you will only pay for 5. This offer is only valid when booked and paid in advance.

If you know others who may benefit from a reflexology treatment, please ask me about The Reflex Zone referral scheme!
